Safekeep® Retrieve Station
The Safekeep Retrieve Station software is
for microfilm CAR replacement and for very high volume imaging users.
Images can be any TIFF or JPEG files retrieved from
- Internet/intranet servers, supporting both http and ftp
- file servers, using any Macintosh supported protocols including AppleShare IP, AppleTalk, Novell, or Microsoft file server
- local disk drives, CDs, DVDs, etc.
Safekeep Retrieve Station is a Macintosh application that
directly uses the RISC technology of the IBM PowerPC to provide stunningly fast
imaging functions. As a native System X application, Safekeep inherits the rock solid stability of UNIX while
retaining the ease of use that is important to non-technical employees.

- Easy To Use - New operators can learn to retrieve images in two to three minutes.
- Very high volume - Ultra fast image display, zoom and pan support users spending most of their day accessing documents.
- OCR text search option - search for a word to find a specific page
in a long document. (Requires Acordex OpenWeb server, no additional cost for the retrieve stations)
- Database connectivity - There are many ways to interface
a database to image retrieval, including AppleScript, AppleEvents, ftp requests, CAR serial port.
- No database needed - You can always retrieve documents by the name they are filed under.
This is completely customer determined. Typical examples include employee ID, patient ID, claim number, invoice number,
date, account name, etc.
- CAR emulation - replace existing microfilm machines and use Safekeep's CAR interface.
