Safekeep^® sa Retrieve Station

The Safekeep sa Retrieve Station is a stand-alone companion to a Safekeep sa or a Portable Safekeep Scan Station. It is designed to support offices with a high volume image retrieval requirement.

Images are scanned onto DVD by a separate scan station, either in your office or by a service bureau. DVDs storing images are then inserted in the Safekeep Retrieve Station, which reads the image names and builds up an index. The DVDs are usually kept near the Safekeep Retrieve Station, where they are inserted when you want to display or print documents. You just ask for a document by its name, and Safekeep requests a specific DVD. Safekeep confirms that he correct DVD was inserted, and then retrieves your document.

The Safekeep Retrieve Station can also control a DVD-Writer to make backup copies of your images. This is optional, since Safekeep Scan Stations often make backups of everything they scan.
