The Acordex IJL/3 is a new Ink Jet Labeling system for endorsing, or imprinting, documents as they are scanned by a Fujitsu M3093, M3096, M3097 or M4097 scanner. It is ideal for continuous operation in a high volume production environment.
Documents are imprinted and scanned concurrently. The scanner operates at its rated speed, so there is no reduction in the throughput of the imaging system. And there is always an exact one-to-one correspondence between the scanned image and the printed label.
The IJL/3 is entirely silent when operating. Unlike the loud dot-matrix imprinters found on microfilm cameras which require installation in special closed rooms, an imaging system with the IJL/3 can be conveniently used in the office.
The IJL/3 is connected to a host computer via a standard serial line. It can be operated either with or without programming.
There is no special driver software for your computer, so the IJL/3 is compatible with any computer, including Macintosh, OS/2, UNIX, VMS, Windows95-2000. The host computer simply uses the native driver for its serial port to talk to the IJL/3.
